Frustrated and fat!

Well I'm halfway through week 39 and im still pregnant, and if one more person asks me " have you had the baby yet?" I think im going to go insane! Obviously I have not had her yet and I promise, if I don't do it, someone will post something somewhere so you will all know! Today the Doc set an appt to induce me on the 21st... so looks like another christmas in Flordia away from my family. Let me tell you how excited I am about that, but I guess there isn't much I can do about it. I really detest living in another state and plan to change that as soon as humanly possible. I wish this was a more positive and up beat post but I'm not really in a positive or up beat mood so this, unfortunatly, is all I have for you!

It's official... I have reached the point where I do not want to be pregnant for one more day! these last couple weeks have been a little bit rough for me to say the least but I think everyone, aside from the stepford wives, feels this way when they are at 37 1/2 weeks! So to take my mind off things last weekend my mom and I finished all our Christmas shopping on saturday then Sunday we visited Epcot to see the candle light processional with my friend Nicole, we had such a great time and I got lots of walking in to help little Evelyn in her decent to the birth canal! If you have never been to Epcot I highly recomend going around Christmas time it's a little bit busier but its so beautiful with all the decorations and especially all the lights at night. Also the new bakery in Germany has the best chocolate covered strawberrys in the world showcase. We visited the bakery twice, one strawberry for me and one for Evie thats only fair, right?

Today I had my 36 week check up and my Dr said Baby Evie is about 6 pounds and all arms and legs! Now this is obviously a rough estimate since she doesn't have X-ray vision to see through my uterus, but still it was interesting to hear! I like knowing that my little princess is big enough now to come when ever she likes ( hopefully sooner than later, her Mommy is impatient ). All of Evies things are washed and set up and waiting for her, I have my bags packed for the hospital, car seat strapped in the car and all the paper work filled out! I only have one thing left to do and that's to find a pediatrician. Its probably one of the more important things and I shouldn't have waited this long to find one, but honestly time just seems to fly by and all of the sudden there is no time left! I guess that's what I get for procrastinating.

no longer a blog virgin!

I know what your thinking! I must be the last person on earth without a blog, but I'm sure there is someone out there who still has a dial up Internet connection and perhaps lives in a hut who doesn't feel the need to blog about their life! I never really felt the need to bore the world with the ramblings of a girl who simply did nothing but shop and go out with her girlfriends... Sex and the City already did that! Now however, I am finally being a "grown up" at the ripe old age of 25! I am expecting my first child in a matter of weeks, crazy how fast time goes by I feel like I just peed on that terrifying stick yesterday. Evelyn Reese, that is what I'm naming my baby girl, no reason at all I just liked it and now its hers. Evelyn's Father (lets just call him the sperm donor) is out of the picture, typical story you have all heard before. Boy meets girl, sweeps girl off her feet, girl gets pregnant, boy gets on the first plane back to Deutschland... oh I forgot to mention he is from Germany. Honestly though, I couldn't be happier and the last thing a happy girl needs in her life is someone who doesn't really want to be there! Maybe he will come around one day and maybe he won't but I wouldn't change any of it for the world! I never would have believed it if someone told me this time last year that I was going to be a mom, life certainly does have its way of turning upside down when you least expect it! For now It's just the two of us, and I couldn't be more ready to start this adventure or more excited to have another pair of feet to buy cute shoes for!
